How it works & privacy
Explain writing patterns
Local rules flag stock phrases, repeated openings, duplicate sentences, sentences over 30 words, and unusually uniform sentence lengths. People write this way too.
Keep uncertainty visible
Attributions can be changed or removed. Writing style cannot establish who wrote something. This tool does not run a trained AI detector and never supplies an authorship percentage.
Scope, privacy, and limitations
Website mode: only publicly reachable HTTP or HTTPS domains are supported. The scanner requests at most 1 MB of HTML, follows up to three redirects, and checks up to 20,000 extracted characters. Client-rendered, protected, or bot-blocked pages may produce limited results.
Content mode: text stays in this browser session and is checked using fixed rules, without an LLM, database, or paid AI API. Refreshing the page clears the draft.
Reports: downloads include the submitted text or extracted page text and the findings. Website scans do not execute page scripts or fetch linked assets. Metadata is self-reported; the tool cannot verify authorship or quantify AI usage.
